plan for final project-emily watkins

For the final project I was intrigued by Sophie Calle's style of photography. Sophie Calle's style often shows human vulnerability and touches on self identity. She is well known for combining images with text. Being a graphic design student, I think this could be an interesting way to approach photography. I was really interested in her showcase, "Take Care of Yourself," which includes 100+ interpretations of a break up letter Calle received. One in particular, was a model with the projected words of the letter on her body. I was moved by this because of how raw and emotional it became once the words were actually on the body. I want to take this approach for my final project. I want to project words, quotes and/or letters onto the bodies of people. Focusing on the upper half of the body (chest, face, neck, arms). Im not sure exactly what I want to have projected yet, I hope to figure that out as I experiment and take photos throughout the week.
