FInal Project Proposal

For this project, I plan on photographing windows and how they allow a viewer perspective into a space or scene that they are most likely not participating in. I plan on focussing all my photographs on windows because I think they provide a very interesting visual in the way they let light into or out of a space and provide an opportunity to depict both the interior and exterior of a space. Since windows are such a common found object, it is arguable that they will be a challenge for me to find numerous ways to present them in a dynamic way week after week. However, since they are such a simple item, I believe there is a lot I can do with them in terms of creating visually compelling photographs. Images can be taken from an outside or inside perspective and can include a number of other figure and objects to create a scene. Though I do plan on photographing a number of other items within my photographs of images, I plan on making sure the windows are the most prominent part of my images, as they are my focus for this project. I plan on doing this by always including the framing of the window so it is very clear that the photograph is being taken through a window. One issue I believe I may run into is the glare that windows create when photographing through glass. However, I believe dealing with this predicted issue will provide me with better knowledge on how to deal with light while photographing.
