Joyce Tenneson
Tennson is an American fine art photographer known for her distinctive style, which often involves nude or semi nude women. Tennson earned her master degree from George Washington University. And start as a model for Polaroid. At the age 39 she left photography professor job and move to New York. Her work is published in books and major magazines and exhibited in museums and galleries world wide. Her picture is immediately recognizable because of her unique vision. She uses Polaroid 20x24 camera. She uses multiple large and soft lights as well as fog to crate soft and pale look of the image. Her work shows the vulnerability of women. Her album uses sculpture like human figure and uses background like Tuscan Odor to support the theme. Also some of her picture use fabrics such as chiffon to soften the image. Since she is using 20x24 camera, all the pictures are not rushed. To replicate her work, I would use two large softboxes and place them as close to model as possible. Then I will bring down the clarity, contrast and saturation of the picture.
