Murat Germen:
Murat Germen is a Turkish photographer who uses several different techniques to make his artwork unique. He focuses on areas of high population and urbanization. In his work Muta-Morphosis, he manipulates a panorama picture of a city so the observer can view the city from a different perspective. After taking a panorama of a city, he puts the image through an algorithm that changes it in a certain way that makes use of colors and patterns to make it still resemble a city while being something completely different. He wants the viewer to see how big cities impact the area by using distorted images. In his works Facsimile, he uses city horizons and skylines to show as if each building radiates its own energy. It is up to interpretation to the viewer of what it means, however the size of the building has no effect on the size of the color it radiates. On the upper half of the image, you see a colorful skyline. When you look at the bottom half, you see a rainbow of colors that seem to be of the same color palate. I find his images confusing to view at first. However, once you take a deeper look. You see how the oversaturation of colors and the distortion of the image brings it to a different perspective.

Oliver Du Tré:
Oliver Du Tré is a Belgium photographer who currently lives in Canada. Photography was a passion for him at a very young age. His first memory of a camera was when he was 4 with his father. Since then he has made it his passion in life. In his early stages, he focused on black and white until he received his first digital camera. From there he started experimenting with color. Oliver does not like his early works in color, however. He views these as a development period in his life. He returned to black and white and focused on its intricacies. Now he exclusively uses large format film cameras for all his photographs. His photographs are all in black and white but have a scale to them that brings out the definition to the photo almost as if there was color in the photo. He generally takes photos of vast landscapes with a focus on a centerpiece for each picture. Most of his images seem to have a light gradient over each one to add even more definition to each photo. The pictures all seem to expand into the horizon.

Harry Callahan:
Harry Callahan was an American photographer from a rural area in Michigan near Detroit. He bought his first camera and joined a club to learn how to use it with others. He never had any professional training. He did do some workshops where he was inspired by Ansel Adams work. However, instead of the vast landscapes that Adams focused on, Callahan focused more on the simple things in life. He always believed that simple things were just as important. Harry used large format film cameras to take his pictures. Most of his pictures are of a simple subject. Sometimes just sand or a leaf in the snow. But instead of being just a simple picture, his large format camera added a definition to the simplest of images that brought out a whole new view of the image. His images were all high quality that brought out the subject of the image. Definition of the images is present in each of his photographs. All of them still being in black and white. If you look deeply into one of his images, there is a certain mystery that each one has.
